21: Experiencing Grace Through Taking Responsibility
We all have choices every day. Choices mean we have power, control, and freedom. It means we aren’t stuck with one option. It also means we will experience consequences of our choices.
In the beginning of the Bible, we see the first humans had a choice: to trust and believe God or trust and believe a snake. Most of us know, they chose the snake and there were some not-so-fun consequences. We all make mistakes and bad choices, but our good God gives us an opportunity to respond to our choice. Will we cover, hide, or blame others for our mistakes? Or will we take responsibility?
Taking responsibility is hard, especially when our worth is tied up in how we perform. But when our identity is in Jesus and His final work on the cross, we can take responsibility for our mistakes and it can actually produce connection. In this episode, I share the impact it can make in our community when we take responsibility and fight for right relationship with others. Hope you enjoy!
